(Whereas the first two logos were "zoomy" and exciting, logo 3 uses symmetry and aviator wings to suggest well-established, solid reliability. Logo 3 also references the "National" or "nation-wide service area of NAFCO, in that it employs stars and stripes. The one large star and the two smaller stars represent Pilot Bankshares and the sister companies of NAFCO and Pilot Bank, while the thirteen stripes in the lower field are a reference to the US flag. Each of these logo 3 variations employ different color pairs.)
