Relax. You're home.
Named for the hickory trees that shade it, Hickory Haven is a Jacobsen
Homes manufactured home nestled amidst 5 acres of pristine north
Florida woodlands. With
three spacious bedrooms, including a huge master with luxurious
master bath including garden tub and separate shower, a more than
ample guest bath, laundry room, a gourmet kitchen with island, and
a dining room, large living room and parlor all joined in a massive
great room floor plan, Hickory Haven has all the comforts of home
and then some.
My father, Tillman, a skilled craftsman, demanded quality, and
he and his beloved wife, Ruth had some special features built into
this home that made it elegant, spacious and practical. An extra
few feet of overall length were divided among the smaller rooms,
to allow plenty of elbow room in the laundry, bathrooms, etc. A
little extra width was given to the halls, resulting in a spacious,
open feeling, and making it much easier to move larger furniture
in and out of bedrooms without damage. Extra wide doors also make
it easier to move in a large appliance, or a Christmas tree. Finally,
Dad built a screened porch running the length of the home, 68"
x 10", with an extra wide, double staircase for access.
Ruth had exquisite draperies custom made and decorated the home
with her family's heirloom European antiques, many of which had
been lovingly restored by her father. Naturally, the home is being
sold unfurnished, but the draperies and all appliances are included.
